It’s been 16 days since my last confession…

And 16 days since I last donned my runners and headed out the door.

I’ve done next to no exercise in that time, and have rediscovered biscuits and chocolate.

I also had dates with my favourite little people, the smallest of which is little William. He’s just turned 10 months old and is now full blown walking everywhere!  Such a clever boy

I also had a date with Violet, she as always was a little sweetheart and well, grandma doesn’t stand a chance


But onto the hip saga…

I still have no idea what is wrong with the old lady hip, the doctor just said don’t run any more and only do low impact exercise while you wait for a physio appointment.

How long could that be I ask? Anything up to 12 weeks she says.

I then think okay… let’s see what the osteopath has to say.

He says to carry on running. Boobs out, belly in and head up shoulders relaxed and down. He also reckons I have inflammation due to a nipping of a nerve. So to carry on with the pain killers and slowly build back up the running.

Now I don’t know who to believe.

I’ve not been very well over the weekend, generally feeling rubbish and sorry for myself so when my alarm went off at 6am this morning I was all eager to get up and out for the first time in forever

I did some warm up on the spot running and stretches and headed off.

I felt all happy and smiley to be out and the hip felt good. It was there but no pain or discomfort. That was until I hit 2.7km and I felt the building of pressure so stopped and walked the little bit back to the house. I was almost home by the time I felt it coming on so was pleased she lasted that long.

I had written on my planner I was to only do 1.5km as a taster but that’s nothing…. so thought I’d double it. And almost got there too.

Tomorrow I will rest and then try again Wednesday morning and see what happens.
